I've been obsessed with Microsoft Paint since I was a kid. Not because it was good, exactly, but because it was free and it was mine.

No account, no subscription, no template quietly telling me what my art was supposed to look like. Just a blank rectangle and whatever I felt like doing to it.

I never really stopped. I've spent years making digital collages, cutting things out, stacking them, building little worlds out of scraps. And the whole time I kept thinking the same thing: I wish someone would make MS Paint the way I always wished it was. Keep it simple, keep it playful, keep it free of all the nonsense, but make the tools actually good. Let me cut a subject out of a photo in one tap. Let me layer and spin and stack without it turning into a fight. Let me make something that looks finished.

Nobody built it, so I did.

Kallikollage is a private collage studio that lives entirely on your phone. Everything you make stays with you. There's no cloud watching, no data leaving your device, no watermark slapped on your own work, and no ridiculous weekly subscription draining your account for the crime of being creative. You buy it once. It's yours.

Every so often I might drop a sticker pack or a background pack, made with cool artists or pulled from beautiful public domain archives. Those are always a one time thing, always optional, and always priced for less than a pack of nice gum. Never a wall. Never required. The whole creative tool is yours the moment you buy the app.

I made this because I think we've all gotten a little too polished, a little too templated, a little too rented. I want people to get creative again. The messy, personal, nobody-else-would-make-this kind of creative. Cut it up. Stack it. Make something weird.
